Trading Fee Calculator: How Much Goes to the Exchange Each Month
A single fee looks tiny, but when you trade often the costs add up to a noticeable amount. The calculator shows how much goes to the exchange per day, month and year.
Calculated from your inputs. This is not a forecast, not a promise of returns and not investment advice. Real trading results can be anything, including a loss.
What the calculation shows
With five trades a day using your whole account and a fee of 0.1% on entry and exit, about 20% of your account goes on fees each month — before you’ve earned anything. That’s why frequent trading almost always puts a beginner in the red. More in the articles crypto exchange fees and day trading explained.
- Limit orders are usually cheaper than market orders — see order types.
- Fewer trades, by plan — lower costs.
- Factor fees into your take-profit and stop-loss.

FAQ
How much does a trader pay in fees?
It depends on the exchange, the order type and how often you trade. The round-trip fee is the sum of the entry and exit fees. With frequent trading, it quickly becomes a noticeable share of your account.
How can I reduce fees?
Trade less often and by plan, use limit orders (maker), and choose liquid pairs.
Does the calculator include the funding rate?
No, only trading fees. The funding rate on perpetual futures is a separate cost.
